Literacy campaign has been launched in penal institutions 27.03.2018
The prisoners have been included in the "Literacy Campaign" that has been launched by the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the First Lady Emine Erdoğan.

The Directorate General for Prisons and Detention Houses started the "Literacy Campaign", upon the instruction of Ministry of Justice Abdülhamit Gül. It is conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education and involved prisons.

Within the scope of the campaign, the number of courses in prisons will be increased. Literacy courses for convicts and detainees will be held. In addition, textbooks will be provided by the help of the Ministry of National Education.

A total of 3.628 convicts and detainees in prisons will receive these courses.
