Minister of Justice GÜL: We stand beside our women and against discrimination 08.03.2018
Minister of Justice Abdülhamit Gül stated that they are determined to fight any type of discriminative act based on gender and said "We are aware of the fact that violence against women is the worst possible result of such discrimination. Today, women are successful in a large variety of fields from politics, economy to science and culture; we stand beside them and against any type of discrimination."

Minister Abdülhamit Gül wished the women working in the ministry happy International Women's Day. Gül visited ministerial departments and talked with women public servants. Minister of Justice Gül gave roses to women personnel and wished happy International Women's Day.

In his message for 8 March International Women's Day, Minister of Justice Gül emphasized that the dough in hands of women is the dough of the presence and existence. Reminding that women resisted the coup attempt on 15 July 2016, Minister Gül stated that women are once again dug into the memories of history with this resistance.

Gül said that he greeted the women who have been fighting for existence in the whole world from Syria to Arakan, from Somalia to Palestine.

Stating that "I wish the souls under the occupation of violence to be rehabilitated with equality and justice, no matter where in the world." Gül continued:

"As an old Chinese proverb goes 'Women hold up half the sky'. To establish a peaceful world under the sky, women and men need to embrace an honourable living and work together on common values. We are determined to fight any type of discriminative act based on gender and said "We are aware of the fact that violence against women is the worst possible result of such discrimination. Today, women are successful in a large variety of fields from politics, economy to science and culture and we stand beside women and against any type of discrimination."
